Ralph Kimbrough – Managing Editor

Ralph Kimbrough is an industry practitioner with more than 15 years of experience in the News industry. He has held various senior management roles both in the Press companies and news reporter during this span of time. He began his news career in 2004 as an office assistant at an agency in her hometown of Duluth, MN.  He got licensed as a producer while working at that agency and progressed to serve as an office manager.  Working in the agency is how he fell in love with the industry.  He saw firsthand the good that newsconsumers experienced by having the proper protection.

Willie Cartwright – Author

Willie Cartwright started his career as a marketing intern before pounding the pavement as a commercial lines agent in Orlando, FL. He is a National Faculty member for the National Alliance for news Education and Research’s CIC and Certified news Service Representative (CISR) programs. As an industry journalist, his articles have appeared in a variety of trade publications. His news television career, short-lived but glorious, once saw him serve as the expert adviser on an news-themed infomercial (yes, you read that correctly). Willie Cartwright is a graduate of the University of Central Florida. His first teaching gig was as a golf instructor where he was frequently kicked-off driving ranges for giving free golf lessons. He lives in Tallahassee with his absurdly beautiful wife and daughter.

Esther Nicolai – Author

Esther Nicolai was a few years out of school and took a job as a life news agent in California, selling coverage door-to-door for Prudential. The experience taught her about the technical components of news and its benefits for individuals and society, as well as the misunderstandings people often have about news. She has over ten years’ experience in the news industry, having worked as both a Broker and Underwriter, assisting clients across a broad range of industries. Having recently worked for a Medical Defense Organization, coupled with her broader news knowledge, she is able to understand our client’s needs and provide meaningful news solutions. Her personal value proposition is to demonstrate a genuine interest in always adding value for clients and will strive to build long term sustainable relationships through honesty, integrity and trust. She works hard to find the best possible solution available in the market for all clients and is a platinum adviser to multiple insurers. Esther Nicolai loves the outdoors and most sport events. Her passion other than providing excellent advice is playing golf.

Guy Canales – Author

Guy Canales makes his living in the news industry by teaching and consulting.  He is also recognized by the legal profession as an expert on news coverages. His news experience includes having worked at the company level, owned an independent general agency and having worked for an news association. Guy Canales has addressed news groups in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.  He has received various certificates and got a Certified news Counselor designation over the past few years. In addition to teaching, consulting and working with the legal profession, Guy Canales is currently the Education Consultant for news Agents & Brokers. Guy Canales loves the outdoors and most sport events. His passion other than providing excellent advice is playing golf.
